Richard Allen Saare was born in December 1953, in Santa Rosa California 50 miles

north of San Francisco. Impressions of the sixties, the war, the hippie movement,

and the anti war demonstrations greatly influenced my life. I joined the Coast Guard during

the tail end of the Viet Namn Conflict for moral and ethical reasons. I served for six years

as a main propulsion engineer on ships and a small boat engineer on search and

rescue craft. The majority of it in New England. I then re-enlisted in the U.S. Navy for another

four years to see the world. And that I did. From Central America to the Orient. Artic to the

Antarctic. From natural disasters to man’s most inhumane acts to his fellow man. I was

medically retired due to injuries sustained in the line of duty.  I spent five years after being

retired from active duty dredging and panning for gold in the mountains of California. After

which I have owned several small businesses ranging from a Custom Motorcycle Leather

Shop and a Cabinet Company. I have always loved motorcycles and racing muscle cars.

Sailing ships and boats. I am currently searching for a large ranch as a home base and then

I want to build a 150 foot three mast square-rigger and go around the world one more time!

The Trilogy of Shennan is a 3 part series of action/adventure in mythical world where Dragons, Wizards, and Magic are real. The barbarian hordes of the frozen wastelands of the north attack and plunder the Kingdom of Shennan. Killing the King and his eldest son.

Rieken Kelshian is the sole surviving heir to the throne. At the age of ten he must learn first what it is to be a King, then a Warrior, and finally he must conquer the Barbarian hordes and send them back to Klouth Ghianna. DAV Background Information and History

Treaties are signed and the battles of nations end, but the personal battles of those disabled in war only begin when the guns fall silent. These men and women must struggle to regain health, reshape lives shattered by disability, learn new trades or professions, and rejoin the civilian world. At each step, they need help to help themselves.

For three quarters of a century now, that aid has come from the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), a nonprofit organization of more than one million veterans disabled during time of war or armed conflict.

Formed in 1920 and chartered by Congress in 1932, the million-member DAV is the official voice of America's service-connected disabled veterans -- a strong, insistent voice that represents all of America's 2.1 million disabled veterans, their families and survivors. Its nationwide network of services -- free of charge to all veterans and members of their families -- is totally supported by membership dues and contributions from the American public. Not a government agency, the DAV's national organization receives no government funds.
